The Department of Public Works is committed to supporting our community by maintaining the integrity of the Town of Nashville’s physical assets and being responsible stewards of our natural resources. We employ an engaged, diverse and well-trained staff to implement innovative and sustainable practices while delivering exceptional service to all of Nashville’s residents.
Public Works is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Town buildings, grounds, parks, streets, as well as water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure; collects and properly disposes of garbage, yard waste and recycling; and conducts fleet maintenance for all Town vehicles and equipment. Additionally, Public Works is responsible for snow removal and storm debris collection and disposal should there be any weather-related event.
