Tree City USA

Tree City USA is a program created by the Arbor Day Foundation. This program recognizes municipalities across the country for their commitment to responsible tree care. Nashville has received Tree City recognition every year since 2019 by meeting four overarching standards which include maintaining a tree board, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry, and celebrating Arbor Day. 2022 Risk Tree Inventory Report

 

The Town of Nashville completed a risk tree inventory in winter 2022 to assess the health and safety of town-owned trees. Funding for the risk tree inventory was provided by a grant through the North Carolina Forestry Service Urban and Community Forestry Division.
