Leaf pounding is a simple, stunning technique originally used by Cherokee women to decorate fabric. In this class, join environmental educator Christine Ricci on a walk to gather leaves and flowers at Stoney Creek Environmental Park. Then unleash your creativity to make a beautiful and unique piece of fabric to take home. You will also have the opportunity to pound onto paper to create beautiful cards and your own individual notepaper. For questions please call 252-459-9796 or email marguerite.bishop@townofnashvillenc.gov. This event is free, but pre-registration is required.
